We have reinvented the way children learn pinyin by designing fun and interactive pinyin games and flashcards for our students. We believe that children learn best when they have fun and are intrinsically motivated! This course is completed over 2 terms. Please start with Pinyin Part 1 course) before attending our Pinyin Part 2 course).

Content & Materials

We have specially designed printable pinyin games, flashcards, worksheets and pinyin charts to be used for each lesson. Materials will be uploaded on our website at least 5 days before the commencement of class.

Sometimes parents may be asked to prepare some materials beforehand (e.g., cutting printable flashcards, preparing glue etc)

The 30 minute pinyin sessions include:

1) Welcome song

2) Pinyin learning using games (flashcards/ board games/ physical activities/rhymes/ songs etc)

3) Written activity

4) Goodbye song

Capacity

Our pinyin course has a capacity of 9 children. Siblings joining in the same class are entitled to a 20% discount. Please send us an email for the discount code.

Duration

The duration of our online pinyin sessions are 30 minutes long to ensure optimal learning.

Schedule

Mandarin Tree operates 4 terms of 13 weeks during the year. Within each term, there will be 11 lessons scheduled. For details of the term calendar click here.

Mode of lesson delivery

Sessions take place on Zoom. One week before the commencement of playgroup, you will be sent a zoom link and password which will be used for all 11 sessions.

For extra security, a password is required to enter the meeting room and everyone will be admitted into a virtual waiting room before being allowed in manually.
